I did not begin my life intending to create books. Much of my early life was shaped instead by service, engineering, leadership, and movement across very different worlds.
I was trained at the National Defence Academy and commissioned into the Indian Army, where I served for over two decades — work that shaped my understanding of leadership, discipline, and the deeper relationship between geography, culture, and nationhood. For my service, I was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal.
